The Resident Evil Film Series
Raccoon City is on the verge of extinction due to the breakdown of the deadly T-Virus. Many innocent lives were lost as a result of this unchallenging epidemic. The main character’s look may be observed in a laboratory. She is a young lady called (Alice). The scientists clone Alice in the labs out of necessity since research has shown that Alice’s DNA contains the treatment for the T-Virus. The finale exposes Alice’s decision to expose the Umbrella Corporation accountable for the epidemic as a form of revenge.
For many admirers, the Resident Series is a masterpiece. It is, in my opinion, an excellent choice to see this weekend!
In Chronological Order, Every Resident Evil Film
From the names, the Resident Evil series seems to be spotty. If you’re new to the Resident Evil franchise, you’re probably wondering how to watch Resident Evil in the greatest sequence possible. But, before I rate the films in order of release date, let’s have a look at what these series have to offer.
The first half of the film, Resident Evil (2002), is apparent from the title. It exposes you to Raccoon City’s life-threatening T-Virus epidemic. The second installment, Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), is the superior video-to-film adaptation.
The next film is Resident Evil: Extinction (2007), which has a Mad-Max-inspired entrance. In Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010), the town’s hero, Alice, battles the real-life video game’s iconic villain (Albert Wesker). Overall, Resident Evil: Retribution is my favorite portion (2012). In this section, Alice attempts to come up with ideas on how to break out of the Umbrella Corporation’s jail.
Now comes the last chapter, Resident Nefarious – The Final Chapter (2017), which reveals the Umbrella Corporation’s evil intentions as well as Alice’s previous existence.
All of the Resident Evil films have been ranked, from best to worst.
To save you time, I’ll walk you through the experience of viewing all six Resident Evil films. Now that I’ve delved deep into it, I have some profound thoughts on how good or bad the Resident Evil series is, and if it’s worth watching. Read the following summary to find out what’s inside the box. I’ve rated all of the Resident Evil movies from greatest to worst.
So keep reading!
Resident Evil: Apocalypse is the first game in the Resident Evil franchise.
The Resident Evil series continues with this installment. The T-Virus has swept across Raccoon City. In the middle of the mayhem, Alice arrives to blow out the most terrifying monster (Nemesis) from the legendary RE video game film.
The knowledge from Umbrella Corporation’s hidden labs is distributed across Raccoon City. Alice discovered that the illness is caused by the Umbrella Corporation. Everyone is attempting to preserve their life, therefore the attempts are genuine. However, the film has more than enough material. The situation is becoming much worse now that the Umbrella Corporation has sent his greatest soldier of all time (the nemesis) to battle Alice and prevent the people of Raccoon from fleeing the city.
The most exciting aspect is seeing how the T-Virus survivors deal with the infected inhabitants who have turned into zombies.
In the midst of the film, Alice joins up with some of her favorite characters from the RE video game, including Jill Valentine (former Umbrella Corporation security officer), Carlos Oliveria, and Angela, to look for a scientist who may be able to assist!
So far, this is the greatest sequel in the series. I’d give it a six out of six. In addition, the film is just 94 minutes long.
Resident Evil: Afterlife is the sequel to Resident Evil 2.
In the sequel, the narrative focuses solely on surviving the Umbrella propaganda and feverishly fending off the zombies, who have already accounted for more than half of the Raccoon City population.
This installment of the Resident Series is as entertaining as a comic book. Later in the film, when Umbrella Corporation was up to something terrible, the scientists utilized human cloning to create an army, commanded by Alice! On their journey, Alice, along with the rest of the survivors and the enormous army, kills the zombies.
The premise of the film seems to be that Alice joins one of his old pals, Claire Redfield, on a ship bound for Arcadia, another laboratory. They were all imprisoned in order to test the failures and successes of different viruses. Alice notices his absent brother Chris among them.
What was Alice’s next action to rescue his fellow survivors from Umbrella Corporation’s barbaric scientist?
Although Afterlife has a better set-up than the previous sections, it is good but not the greatest. I’d give it a five out of six. The film is just 97 minutes long.
3. The Final Chapter of Resident Evil
In the Hive of the Raccoon City, the last episode of Resident Evil is a mystery that is finally solved. When Alice reunites with another set of survivors and learns the origin of T-Virus, the treatment for it, and how everything that occurred validates the Umbrella Corporation’s objectives, The Hive reveals a lot.
Alice returned to the Hive in Raccoon City in the last installment of the Resident series. However, this time, along with Alice, the co-survivors had a variety of looks, including his buddy Claire Redfield. The mystery unravels as Alice enters the hive and discovers the secret causes for the T-spread virus’s across the metropolis.
It was revealed here how the Umbrella Corporation devised the T-Virus recipe to heal the sickness of Alexander Marcus, the founder of the Umbrella Corporation. It also provides a satisfying ending to the tale by killing all of the zombies. Anti-virus detection aids in the abolition of the wandering dead. Fortunately, Alice made it to the finish!
Overall, the sequel was not vulnerable; rather, it was unexpected due to the story’s significant twists and turns. The ending, on the other hand, was very excellent. I’d give it a four out of six. The whole film is just 106 minutes long.
Resident Evil: Extinction is the fourth installment in the Resident Evil series.
There isn’t much for the audience to enjoy in this film. The only time Alice and her friends saw live action was when they were in the desert fighting Isaac’s freshly created zombies. Otherwise, it was all about Alice’s seeming superhuman abilities that she had recently discovered.
The sequel picks off where the previous installment of Resident Evil left off. Alice was endowed with superhuman abilities. Isaac is now pushing to get his hands on the actual Alice, knowing that the cloned Alice is not functioning properly and has failed an experiment. In a desperate bid for survival, Alice and several other characters from the last sequel, such as Carlos, L.J., and Claire, flee to the desert, where they are confronted by Isaac’s zombies.
For me, it was a terrible watch. It’s worth a look if you’re interested in supernatural abilities. I’d give it a three-out-of-six rating. It runs for 94 minutes.
Resident Evil: Retribution is the fifth game in the Resident Evil series.
This chapter of the Resident Series is a full-fledged action-thriller. Alice and her companions will be pitted against the living-dead and the mind-controller Umbrella. Jill Valentine’s sorrow, which is heavy on the chest of the indoctrinated, is now causing the roadblocks.
Several moments in the film include spontaneous fights. The first incident occurs when Alice is challenged by the wicked red queen after her successful escape from the institution (Umbrella facility head). The film has a fan following, and Wesker (an old villain) helps Alice escape. The second battle pitted Alice against Jill Valentine. Alice reclaims her buddy, whose mind was artificially controlled by the Umbrella Corporation, after a bloody fight.
This film has not been a pleasant experience for me. I’d give it a two-out-of-six rating since it’s not worth seeing. Although it is an action film, you may spend hours viewing it if you so want. The film lasts no more than 95 minutes.
Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil was a very straightforward film with some genuine scary situations. This film is centered on the action and thriller idea of a fatal viral epidemic. Alice, in the main character, investigated a subterranean laboratory of the vast umbrella company that was responsible for the pandemic’s outbreak.
To preserve the Raccoon city, a T-Virus outbreak at the Umbrella facility known as the Hive was shut down. For everyone, the virus is a death sentence. Alice (leading-role), a co-member of the Umbrella Corporation, enters an underground laboratory with Matt (friend) and discovers numerous deceased workers trapped within.
The Head Red Queen locked the laboratory after discovering the risks of the deadly T-Virus. Despite the fact that she seals her workers to rescue the world from a dead-end, the virus spreads across the globe, turning people into terrifying zombies.
This Resident Series film isn’t very fascinating or appealing, yet it’s nonetheless recommended to zombie fans. I’d give it a 4 out of 6 rating. The film lasts 100 minutes.
Order of the Resident Evil Animated Films
Resident Evil: Degeneration is the first game in the Resident Evil franchise.
The animated film Resident Evil: Degeneration is of poor quality. Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield have a devoted following. The super warriors in this film are ready to exact vengeance on the undead.
The two warriors are up to the task of slaying the zombies at the Harvardville airport. Degeneration is an action film, although it is less daring than the other two. Nonetheless, many people should keep an eye on it. The film lasts 96 minutes.
Resident Evil: Damnation is the sequel to Resident Evil 2.
The film is set in a war-torn Eastern European country. Leon Kennedy is a special agent who goes above and beyond the call of duty to destroy all biological weapons in order to preserve mankind.
The Damnation is a next-level animated movie portraying a combat zone that belongs to the action and thriller genre. Kennedy has a noble role to play. He rescues the world from a massive biological war by destroying all weapons capable of wreaking havoc on the planet. The film is 100 minutes long.
Resident Evil: Vendetta is the third installment in the Resident Evil series.
Vendetta (2017) is a three-character animated horror film starring Leon Kennedy, a government special agent, and Rebecca Chambers, an inspirational character (professor at Alexander Institute of Biotechnology).
Claire Redfield is a fighter in the film. You’ll witness how Claire will thwart the merchant’s wicked intentions to spread the deadly virus in Vendetta. The movie lasts 97 minutes.
